Daily Diary

Worked for 3 hrs and 35 minutes in total.

Again realized that once you mind is tired, then it would never work. Don't even try to work unless your mind is well rested.

And similarly, never waste away precious time when you mind is well rested. Make sure a well rested mind is at work and a tired mind is not at work

Daily Diary

Worked 3 Hours in total today.

Most of the time was spent learning stuff. For the first time in two years, I figured out what Bezier curve fitting really meant.

Anyways, Need to wake up early because little work can be done later in the day, especially after noon.

Daily Diary

Worked 2 hours on a Saturday.

Sundays are off....it's better to completely recuperate.

The 5 hours completed on Friday were too depleting....and my energy reserves need to be up again after resting.

Daily Diary

Worked a whopping 5 hours today...mostly due to a strict deadline looming over my head.

So this is how i did it.

  • Work as much as possible in the morning. Work 1.5 hr right away when you sit on your computer and then take a break and work another 1 hour. Got 2.5 hours of work right away.
  • During the distracting phase.....LUNCH etc....go roam around, hangout with friends and most importantly sleep. If you did 2.5 hrs of work in the morning then you deserve a long break. Sleep is important though. Once you are fresh, then get back to work for at least 1.5 or 2 hours.
4 hours is probably optimum. Beyond that it becomes torture.

Let's see if I follow this up with another 4 hour session. :)

Start work at 9-30 to 11, take break, drink coffee, go back to work and work till at least 1. Come back after the longer break at 3 or later and work again.

Party time now!!!

Daily Diary

It's only morning (11) and I have already gotten 1 hr 30 minutes of work in. Taking time off now to relax (browsing internet).

Go to work immediately when you enter the lab. You are overcharged in the morning and there are no distractions.

Plus, A timer is better than a stop watch. The timer is ruthless and doesn't tell you how much time is left until you have completed all the time. The stop watch on the other hand can be stopped at any time.
